WHERE'S ALDI GONE???

About Me

A BRIEF HISTORY - We are Reid E (Guitar), AJ (drums/vocals), KK (bass) and Stevey (vocals). We're based in Norwich although Reid E lives up North in Newcastle. The band started life in the mid 80's playing mostly our own stuff, we had quite a few line ups the first stable one being Reid E (then just plain old Karl Reid) on guitar, AJ (Johnny) on drums, Jarrod on bass and Liz on vocals. Did a fair few gigs under this guise then Jarrod walked out half way through a gig at the Shirehall in Norwich but as we all know bass players are ten a penny so Johnny Blade (was that his name?) filled in for a few gigs on bass to be eventually replaced by Adie Grand. Liz was the next to go to be replaced by two new singers Paula and Kate. Then Adie left and Matt joined who, after staying out in the sun too long one day, was christened Lobster - a derivation of this nick-name is still used to this day, we now call him Klak Klak (KK) Ramone. We did a couple of recording sessions over the years and did a split single with the Demolition Company. The band fizzled out shortly after this until Reid E bumped into KK at a gig in London some time in 2002 when they were both living down there. A practce was arranged but the old stuff didn't work so we thrashed out a few Ramones tunes. After a couple more practices we decided we needed a singer so we recruited a rather drunken Steve Hansell (BS Ramone) (ex of the Disrupters) down the pub one night. This was in 2003 and the first gig was at the Ferryboat in Norwich on midsummers day that year with Blyth Power and a great night it was too. More gigs with Blyth followed cilminating in a 3 date Christmas "tour" in Norwich, Cambridge and Ipswich where we were likened to 4 fat skinheads better suited to doing Gonads covers, compliments indeed! Steve left the band late 2004 to be replaced temporarily by Bambi from Eastfield for a couple of gigs and then Steve (guitar player with the Kaotix and ex of 80's Norwich band Revulsion). Steve is due to play his last gig with us at Tallington this year (see Upcoming Shows) because he's upping sticks and moving to Rhodes, Greece with his good lady wife Mandy Ramone. A few one off gigs may be possible when he returns to blighty but we'll be looking to add another singer to the ranks soon. Recording of "Rhodes to Ruin" was completed on 12 May 2007 (15 tracks) and will be mixed sometime soon when a couple of tracks will be put up for download, thats the story so far. Stay Tuned for the Farming report...............Chair Hoh (thats Norfolk for bye). I made this layout with help from pYzam , Look at these other Layouts!
