Ben's Bedroom Band was origionally a dumping ground for all my songs that I was pleased with but were far to wussy for which ever band I happened to be in. It wasn't until a friend of mine requested a cd of these songs that I considered writing more songs specifically for Ben's Bedroom Band and making an album. The problem with making an album was the wildly different styles song to song. I managed to group the songs into two different "moods". The nice accoustic songs and the more rocking ones. Coincidently I ended up with 8 of each. So my first album is kind of a concept album, called "Day Breaks, Dusk Creeps...", the first half being a soundtrack to the daytime and the second half dedicated to darker side of things. If forced to do so, I'd say influences range from Bach to Metallica(early years) to Aphex Twin. But it's really a jumble of every type of music I listen to.Without wanting to sound pretentious, I feel Ben's Bedroom Band's music is a soundtrack to cynical soul. It's nice music with dark undertones, or dark music with a glimmer of hope. That DOES sound pretentious doesn't it. Who cares, people seem to like it and hopefully there's a song for everyone on there, so IF ANYONE WANTS A FREE COPY let me know...I'm still churning out the tunes and already have good start to album number two, and unless I find something better to do with my time it'll probably ready for the summer. Bet you can't wait.A HREF="garageband.com/song?|pe1|S8LTM

Where's the Road?

The newest song I've uploaded is called "Where's the Road?".  I wrote and recorded it in one day because I needed to do something creative to take my mind off the horrible Scottish weather.  The music...

A SILENT SONG

Here is a new tune.  It has lyrics but I didn't want to ruin it with my crappy voice, hence the name.  Recorded with 3 nylon string guitars and a djembe drum.  All done in one take...

VIDEOS

I've stuck up a couple of videos I did for C4's website, 4Talent.  The website still isn't up and running, and I was fed up telling folk it'd be 'up there soon...'  So here they are.  E...

SHINGLES!

I have shingles.  Bloody hell.  Apparently the over-enthusiastic and prolonged drinking sessions over the festive season wore my immune system down a tad, and the chickenpox virus, which has...

LATEST ABOMINATION...

Latest song: 'Blind Dogs Have more Fun'. Usual shit, but this time featuring a violin I borrowed, and some live drum beats I did on my friends knackered kit. And I've attempted to Sing a bit too. ...

Who wants to read about my non-adventures?

Does anyone actually want to read about what I've been up to in South America?  Didn't think so.  But if any sad bored loser does, let me know on the comments page and I'll tell all the swor...
