Relational Audio Visual Enterprise

About Me

The Relational Audio Visual Enterprise provides a network where people interested in artistic forms of expression work together to promote and share, skills and ideas whilst gaining experience in productive publically based cultural events. It is in this context that we believe our members gain experience and confidence in their own creative abilities and encourage people who would otherwise not have the opportunity, to do the same. We have created a supportive collective of people, resources and knowledge, the benefits of which are enjoyed by all involved. As we expand all excess revenue generated will be reinvested in the organization to acquire further resources for the use of our members. Membership is open to anyone sympathetic to the arts. Membership is £5. This nominal annual fee is put towards costs of events and materials. Members will be informed of both volunteer and paid opportunities via the web service. We are inclusive of Artistic forms of expressions, ranging from music to art and performance such as:Music – DJ’s, MC's, Bands, Producers, and Instrumentalists. Art – Sculptors, Installationists, Painters, Street art, Photographers, and Writers. Performers – Poetry, VJ’s, Dancers, Circus Performers and Actors.Social events are organised utilizing the relevant skills of members i.e. music, art and performance to encourage interaction and build working relationships between members. The events will be promoted and open to the public. Giving members the opportunity to showcase their talent. Should any member wish to implement a creative idea or event application within these parameters; the web based contact network will enable other members with relevant skills, resources or interests to contribute to the realization of that idea. This service will be available to all members at all times. We have already engaged in a in a project with City Gateway. City Gateway invested £2500 on renovating a double decker bus with a full working recording studio and sound system to take to schools and community projects around East London and promote creativity to young people. After consulting our network we provided a group of street artists who painted the bus both inside and out. The network is being used to win similar contracts and offer these opportunities to members. In this way the network acts as an agency acquiring contracts organising logistical and financial elements, providing solution possibilities and costing estimates to the clients such as City Gateway and instruction, expense coverage and payment to members. As the spirit of the network revolves around sharing, we heavily promote the Creative Commons copyright laws to members and the public. Creative Commons (CC) licenses provide a flexible range of protections and freedoms for authors, artists, and educators. The "all rights reserved" concept of traditional copyright has been built upon to offer a voluntary "some rights reserved" approach. Subsequently, in conjunction with Remix Reading we now run open media workshops locally to encourage people to share their work under a (CC) license. Remix Reading is part of a national network of similar projects called Remix Commons. Web sharing services provided by the Remix Commons will soon facilitate much of the web services required by our growing network. We aim to expand these workshops by actively promoting them to local youth organizations. Volunteers will be on site to conduct demonstrations and activities in computer based music production, instrumental demonstrations, street art activities and drama based performance workshops. Nominal fees may be charged purely to cover the costs of consumables and transport. As a rapidly growing network it is also our intention to gain funding from any source possible e.g. art council and government grants etc. You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy .COM's MySpace Profile Editor !
