Influences: Everyday I am influenced by music in a unique and different way. I pay very close attention to lyrical content. There are certain artists that have an amazing command over the english language; through imagery and metaphors, they are able to paint the most beautiful pictures accompanied by the most perfect arrangements to create a divine masterpiece. I can be touched by the most simple guitar rift, or drum cadence, or just the raw emotion in someone's voice. I have so much respect for so many artists and producers. Each day I am influenced by something or someone new. Music never gets old, because each day you have the opportunity to create something completely different. The new creation doesn't even have to resemble the old one, or it can be an exact replica. Music is whatever you make it. It can be the percussive sound of a tap shoe, or the high-pitched shrill of a horn. Music comes from any and everywhere. The world around us is the inspiration, and now, protools just so happens to be the canvas. There is no complete answer to who my influences are. I love music! It's electric. It's liquid. It's plastic. It's elastic. It's hot . It's cold. It's just right. It makes you cry, smile, laugh, frown, or wince with pain. It gives you hope in a hopeless situation. It comforts you, consoles you, cajoles you. It rocks you, it rolls you. It holds you. It hugs you. It loves you. It believes in you. You believe in it. It breathes life into you when you are lifeless. Music saves lives. Music sings lullabyes. I discover a new love everyday. When I say love, I mean a song. How lucky am I? That means that each day, I have the opportunity to fall in love with music all over again. It's hard to remember all of my favorite songs, but it's so exciting when I turn on the radio and hear a song that I haven't heard in a while. Music invokes emotion. Music moves crowds. Music is a soft flute, or an eccentric vivacious violin! Music is a scream, or the sweetest sultry, sensual voice. Oooohweeee! Aren't we lucky? We are so lucky that we get to enjoy it. Music is alive. We are it. We are music. Music is us. Music is love. Music is sex. Music is everything.On that note, it wouldn't be fair to only name a few artists and leave it at that, so I'll pay tribute to a different artist or a different song, as it moves me.So check my blog and see what the song for the day is!
