Born on July 3 in Richmond, Va., the eldest of 5, and undeniably inspired by Prince, Sam Cooke, and Al Green, Neemoe has always loved music. It became very apparent by the age of 7, when for the first time he sat behind the drums of his hometown church (Refuge Assemby in Powhatan) that the young boy was talented. His father, Apostle Linwood N Harris, recognized his young sons potiential, and eventually formed the gospel group "The Sons Of Thunder". From church to church, state to state, the group blessed many with harmonies and spirit stirring rhythms. The group would later call themselves (Exodus 7) and go on to record 2 gold records in gospel. In that same time frame, along side his now grammy award winning cousin Michael Archer,(D'angelo), the duo sparked what was the beginning of a new sound in the gospel ministries, commonly called neo soul today. The 2 formed there own group called the ( ELC Ensemble), named after their grandfather/godfather. After extensive touring and everyday life, by the age of 18, Neemoe stepped away from music to pursue his college dream of working in the hospital. Although the break away from the music was long over due, he never let it slip totally away from his mind and soul. After a short 3 year Medical assisting degree, and countless other venues, Neemoe found himself reunited with D'angelo for other projects. Now with the motivation reborn and a sound all his own, " the Kid" has returned to make his mark at a time when grown folk music is none existant.THIS IS MY VERY TALENTED AND FAVORITE COUSIN D'ANGELO...
