P.C.P.S.H.OnP.M.M.T.B.S.Count DownWelcomeMeagan Monique Good (born August 8, 1981) is an American actress. Height: 5' 5" (1.65 m)Biography: : Early life- I was born in Panorama City, California of African-American, French, Indian and Puerto-Rican ancestry. I grew up in Valencia, California, where I lived with my parents and my three siblings, one of whom was adopted. I resided in a part of California that was mainly Caucasian; My family was one of the first non-white families to enter the area,I explained in a Sister2Sister magazine in an interview. As a young girl, I recall being treated differently while at school especially at the hands of a teacher I considered to be racist.I had a particularly hard time fitting in, because a hairstyle I wanted to try was not allowed and neither was the use of lip gloss.I even blame the teachers for suffering grades that same year.My mother was not religious, but rather a spiritual person who inspired me to become spiritual as well.I did not attend church as a young girl, but God is very important in my life. God means so much to me that even "all of the success..[and] the money in the world..."[1] is inconsequential if it were not for God.Because of my role as a child actress, I was home-schooled after a period of time in public school.:Career- With encouragement from my mother,I entered the entertainment industry with appearances in commercials at the age of four. To date, I have been in over 60 national commercials. My television portfolio is quite vast with having been on every side of the spectrum ranging from The Parent 'Hood and Touched by an Angel to starring roles on Raising Dad with Bob Saget and the Nickelodeon series, Cousin Skeeter.Despite my television appearances, I am best known for my work in movies.I decided that I would become an actress at the age of twelve, and received my first speaking role at the age of 12. As a youngster, acting was simply "just something to do for fun" My big break-through came when I garnered critical acclaim and earned an Image Award nomination for my starring role in Kasi Lemmons' film Eve's Bayou, opposite Samuel L. Jackson. Some consider Eve's Bayou to be my "coming-out party. My persistence paid off although I originally wanted to play the role of Eve. By the time of the movie's production, I was too old for Eve's role and instead entertained the idea of playing Cisely. My tenure in the entertainment industry has spanned nearly twenty years with almost twenty movies and about the same number in television shows. I have been around longer than some actors that I consider legends. For a long while, I have also had to deal with being known as the pretty girl on the screen. I am disappointed with constantly being put into a corner. "My goal is to do something that's not about race or a certain look. In order to avoid this, I am willing to play a crackhead, a crazy person, and a superhero.Though I do not appreciate being judged based on my looks as far as my career goes, I do recognize that I am widely popular amongst my fans in part because of my looks. AskMen.com finds that I "possess one of the finest packages in showbiz". For this reason, I have been in numerous magazines with special dedications to my most notably Black Men and King. "Boys I been around my whole life were like, 'You Got Booty.' I was like 'For real?'"I would like to continue producing movies. Miles From Home was the first movie I produced.'Miles From Home,' is a tale of lost innocence. Miles Conway, (Ty Hodges), 17, is force to fend for himself after his mother walks out on him and his brother, due to her drug addiction. Abandoned also by his brother he is homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. Miles is introduced to a group of teenage prostitutes and is seduced into a world of sex, money, and drugs. They become his family. Once he is confronted by his inner demon, it's too late. Innocence is lost. Miles is torn between his two worlds after he meets Natasha Freeman, (Me), 19, a free spirited college student. Without effort, Natasha shows Miles there is still beauty in life. In order to survive, he must learn to overcome his circumstances and recognize a blessing when he sees one. There is a war within him and Miles has to make a decision. Will he choose life or death? Miles quickly learns the greatest fear he will ever have to face is to confront the person inside.:Personal life- I do not have aspirations for the future. Primarily, I want to play Aaliyah in a movie about the late entertainer, if such a movie should ever reach the point of fruition. I would love to play Aaliyah. For all the things that black women go through in this industry, telling her story would be incredible.Currently, I live in The San Fernando Valley in California.:Awards And Nominations In 1998, I was nominated for Image Award for Outstanding Youth Actor/Actress for my role in Eve's Bayou. In 1998, I was nominated for Young Star Award for Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Drama Film for my role on Eve's Bayou. In 2005, I was nominated for Black Movie Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for my role on D.E.B.S..In 2006, I won the Independent Black Film Festival Award for Best Actress for my role in Miles From Home.In 2006,I was nominated for Teen Choice Award for Best Female Breakout for my role in Waist Deep.B.S.V.C.
