I'm a bassist, bandleader, composer and arranger.
I believe that there is incredible power in musical expression.
Music is medicine, Music is prayer, Music can lift people's spirits and revitalize peoples lives.

I have been blessed.
I've performed with such notables as Candido Camero, Bobby Sanabria, Rene Marie, Junior Mance and David Amram, at venues such as Avery Fischer Hall, Dizzys Club at Lincoln Center, Town Hall in New York City, to name a few. I was selected in October 2006 as a recipient of an SOS Grant by the New York Foundation for the Arts, administered on Long Island by the East End Arts Council.
In May 2006, I received a BFA from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. While at the New School I received private instruction and guidance from the legendary Buster Williams for four years. Some other very important teachers and mentors include Reggie Workman, Andy McKee, Bobby Sanabria, Jimmy Owens, Junior Mance, Bill Kirchner, Gerard D’Angelo, and Vic Juris, among others. I am also a proud member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 802.
Currently, I pour my heart and soul into my original project, ROOTS AND GROOVES. I book the shows, write most of the music, and lead the band. I also work as a sideman with countless other artists, spanning many musical genres, from acoustic folk and bluegrass to jazz and hip hop.
