DOX aka Young President Of The Hood

DOX a.k.a Young President of the Hood was originally born in Newark, New Jersey. He grew up living in a neighborhood infested with crack in the early 80’s, where young kids growing up didn’t have a lot of chances of becoming something more than what they were surrounded by, Hustlers, Pimps, and Stick up kids. Fortunately, DOX gravitated at the early age of 12 to music, specifically HIP HOP. Artist like Nas, DMX, and Jay-Z inspired DOX because he could relate so well to what they talked about; he didn’t feel like he was alone living in unfit conditions. DOX grew up in an abandon building, his step mother was addicted to crack, and his father worked most of the day to support the family he created. DOX had to be the man of the house at a very young age. All of the struggles and pains of the ghetto is what DOX speaks about in he’s music; he basically paints the picture of his life on record! Eventually DOX ran away from home with aspirations of becoming something more than a hustler or going to jail. He ended up in Brooklyn, NY, and immediately started to build a reputation around his neighborhood, doing music.Presently DOX has earned the name Young President of the Hood because of what he represents. He stated when interviewed by BALLERSTATUS.NET. that he wants to change the image of the so called rapper and add a new status or prestige to his image so we will no longer be looked at as buffoons. He calls his self the president of a forgotten area in society, because he wants people to view him as the representative of the Hood. And I quote “I want people to use me as an example of what to aspire to be as a hip-hop artist”. DOX is determined to change the way minorities are being viewed through media. His songs speak of struggle, a realistic hustle, and the hunger that he has experienced in his 24 years of living.DOX has released 2 mix tapes independently entitled “Anthems 4 Tha Gutta VOL. 1” (Undeniable Music), and also “Anthems 4 Tha Gutta VOL. 2” (This Is A Movement). He has performed at some of the hottest spots in the New York including, T-NY, Canal Room, Sob’s, Chocolate bar, and NY Perks to name a few. DOX has taken first place in most of the competitions he’s performed in! Because DOX has been unsuccessful finding good representation for his music he created his own company called “Gutta Grind Squad Entertainment Group” (G.G.S). DOX says most of the managers he’s dealt with never were able to do as much as he could do for his self, so he took it upon his self to grind and be in charge of his own career until he finds the right people to work with. DOX continues to grind hard and tear down shows making a name for his self in his circle as Young President Of The Hood earning the respect he deserves, paying dues like BILLS.Right now DOX is working on the third instillation to his incredible mix tape series entitled “Anthems 4 Tha Gutta Vol. 3” (POVERTY!), The Street Album. So far he has started a buzz for the CD with a leading song called “I Don’t Even like Rap No More”. This song will be included on DJ KOOL KEV’s, DJ S&S, and BIG MIKE’s up and coming mix tapes. DOX is the next best thing to happen to the world of HIP HOP, there’s no other who u can compare to this man, no other who delivers there feeling over percussion and a bass drum similar to DOX. Simple and plain DOX is a diamond in the rough, one in a million, the first to come, and last there will be. There’s no other similar, G.G.S ALLDAY EVERYDAY EARLY!!!!!! GET AT ME!!
