Hi! My name's is Trenton James. I'm originally from Williams, Arizona and went to Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. I got a degree that I've yet to use, but I've been living in Salt Lake City for about 6 years now and I love it.
I started acting back in college and did a few plays. I won some awards and really took a liking to the whole entertainment thing. Since I've been in Utah I've joined a sketch comedy troupe (Chez Comedez) and an improvisational troupe ( Comedy Sportz ).
I've met a lot of great people here who have helped me in so many ways, it would be silly to try to cover it all here...but I've learned a lot about improvisation and life from Lincoln Hoppe. My old roommate, Christopher Robin Miller , took me under his wing and mentored me in countless ways. He was also kind enough to let me work with him in his sketch comedy group, Chez Comedez. He eventually introduced me to TMG , who have been my representation and management for the past 4 years or so. They have helped me book work such as the upcoming film, Blind Guy Driving , as well as Pirates of the Great Salt Lake (which I co-starred with Kirby Heyborne and is doing very well in the film festivals nationwide)...as well as many other local and regional works. I owe all of them a huge debt of thanks. They are some of the most talented and nicest people I've ever met.
I started doing stand up comedy after working as a waiter at Wiseguys Comedy Cafe . I met, owner, Keith Stubbs while working on Tony 'n Tina's Wedding, a very successful and highly improvised play. I played Timmy, the videographer, while Keith played the owner of Vinnie's Venetian Palace. My stand up career has been doing very well since then and, while I don't get to stop in as much as I used to, I still thank Keith and Wiseguys for the great opportunity. It really has been a blast.
My baby girl, Eva Grace, was born to my fiance and I on July 26th, 2005 and I can't describe how much I love them both. The past few years have been quite a ride and I can't describe how happy I've been and excited I am to see what tomorrow brings. Thanks to everyone that's been around so far to experience it with me. I've been blessed with a lot of great company during it all.
