In 2000, Sam Pack picked up playing guitar and took lessons from a guy named Doc Stone. Aside from what he was teaching him, Sam tried sinking his teeth into Metallica. He learned every Metallica song he could. It wasn't until after a few years of playing he started writing his own songs. They were real bluesy and sloppy. As the years progressed, Sam started listening to 80's thrash that was more guitar oriented such as Ozzy, Slayer, Megadeth etc. Finally in 2003 Sam with (with a drum machine and a manual 4 track) recorded a 12 song demo called "The New Birth" which was thrashy, groovy in your face metal. Then in 2004 Sam recorded a cd "Cycles of Tragedy". Recalling the glory days of thrash with a hint of influences of Death, Carcass, Nevermore, Metallica, and Megadeth. Its an album that refers to society on the break of ruin, armagadon, and personal struggles. Jimmy Church joined Forever Dead in late March of 2006. Jimmy brings a more of an 80's vibe and can really shred. In April 2006 Greg Frantz joined the band and took over Bass duties. In mid April of 2006 Mark Ford (aka "Balls")joined the band to play drums. Mark and Greg would leave the band in October 2006. The rest of this story is to be continued......Forever Dead - "Downward Spiral (Jam/Practice Version)"
