A Photographer, Model, DJ, Producer, Label Owner, Fashion Designer, Dubai native Haneef Raisani can rightly lay claim to being the founder of Middle East’s first & only independent record label (Raisani Records) and to being the first home grown talent as a DJ/Producer who has hit the international dance music scene with his deep/soulful sound. Haneef had a passion for the art of music long before the advent of electronica, and a decade before embarking on a career in deejaying and producing. But true musical expression for Haneef hit all new levels in the wake of a Job at one of the biggest record labels in the world “Universal Music International†for the Middle East territory at the age on 19 while he was still doing his Bachelors.
Things took off to new heights once Haneef started his career at Virgin. During these 4 years Haneef had given a big hand in shaping the Dance music scene in Dubai by opening doors to many of the major independent record labels including Defected, Soulfuric, Yoshitoshi, Clubstar, Seamless, Bargrooves, Global Underground, Houseworks, NRK, Ninja Tune, Naïve, PIAS, Little Angel, Fabric, Pacha, Bubble Soul, Bedrock, Soulstar, Blackhole Recordings, Majik Music, Subliminal, Azuli, Underwater, Bar de Lune, Atoll Music, Buzzin Fly, Star 69, Stereo Deluxe, UCMG, Plastic City, and the list keeps on going. Not only that but he also looked after all the promotions, marketing and the launch parties of these record labels in the Middle East. During his daytime job, he still found spare time doing gigs for private parties and mainly fashion shows like for Franck Provost, Guess, and CK. During these 4 years Haneef brought down over 1000 independent record labels to Dubai and he attended every music conference around the world from Miami, Canne, Köln, Barcelona, to Amsterdam. His networking made him a lot of new friends in the industry and it was time that Haneef saw a vision of opening doors to local Dj/talents, Raisani Records was born, Dubai’s first independent record label and immediately he put out his first mixed compilation with Danny Marquez of Bubble Soul Music Barcelona. He was not quite happy with the underground party scene in Dubai as it was all commercial DJ’s being booked but not any quality talents. This moment Raisani Entertainment Agency (Artists Management, Label Promotion, and Events Management) came into existence.
Haneef, whose experience in the Music industry & promotion sector is highly known & respected by many top individuals of the music industry has also been organizing his own events and promoting them booking international DJs & labels like hosting residencies for Defected, Bargrooves, OM Records, Houseworks, and bringing over DJs like Harley & Muscle, Kenny Dope, Jay J, Andy Caldwell, Aston Martinez, Simon Dunmore, Roy Davis Jr, Harley&Muscle, Martin Brodin, Shik Stylko, Roland Clark, Marques Wyatt, DJ Fluid, DJ Antoine, Marcello Castelli, Marshall Jefferson, Kiko Navarro, Ben Sowton and many more. His CITYSOUNDS nights were voted the best branded night in Dubai by both local and international media.
Lately, he is busy to reach his goal in making RAISANI one of the best out there, his true vision for RAISANI is to have everybody in Our House, bridging the gap and bringing together all the best talents under one roof and to make a name for itself and his hometown Dubai worldwide. With all this is still manages his time between running the label, producing in the studio, touring around the world and still does what he loves the most, Photography. You could hardly spot his somewhere without his Nikon F5 & D100 Cameras. .
Working in the industry for over 8 years and at age of 26, Raisani has only just begun to fulfill his passion for music, with frequent DJ tours and production work. For the past 5 years, his DJ schedule has allowed him to share his love of music with fans around the world, playing records in every major city on every continent and is about to make history and leave a legacy.........
