Free MySpace LayoutsBIOGRAPHY: At the tender age of 12 Astons interest in music became apparent. Three years later he bought himself a pair of SL 1200‘s and a mixer and learnt the skills of a dance DJ. In 1987 he got into House-Music and he immediately knew that this music was going to change his live forever. In 1989 he started to play at the first House events in Berne. Together with local promoter Inka Imperio he organised a fortnightly Friday night in an old warehouse and the success of this night with regularly 700 – 800 guests proved he was on the right way. Aston started to play all the important House-Clubs like the legendary New York Club in Neuchatel or the Kaufleuten in Zürich and he played with people like Louie Vega, Roger Sanchez or David Morales to name just a few. A major change in his career came in 1996 with the promoters of the Club Take 5 in Biel having him brought in to become Artistic Director and resident DJ for their club. Take 5 became one of the finest House-Clubs in Switzerland with international guest-DJ’s every weekend: C.J. Mackintosh, Little Louie Vega, Mousse T. Erick Morillo, Grant Nelson, Brian Tappert, Knee Deep, Kerri Chandler and many others. In January 1999, Aston’s childhood dream became reality: He was the first DJ from Switzerland to play at the legendary Ministry of Sound in the main room and he also was the Swiss resident DJ for all the Ministry events held in Switzerland. After three years of Artistic Director at Take 5, Aston decided in winter 1999 to start concentrating on his production-career and moved his Studio from Biel to his home city, Bern. Ever since then, Aston has been busy in the studio working on various remixes and productions. His work includes remixes for some of the finest Labels as Soulfuric, Madhouse, Yellorange, Stellar, Egoiste, Houseworks and others. In June 2003, Aston decided to join forces with friend and producer Mario Held (Souxsoul, Rawsoul Orchestra) and moved to Zürich where they built a new Studio and founded their production-company gold-tunes Ltd. Since then, the pair has been working on a load of various projects, including productions for Artists as John Silver, Matt Caseli and others. But of course Aston has also been working on his own projects. The worlds leading house-imprint ‘Defected Records’released his wonderful “Seduction” which made it into some of the worlds biggest DJs’ playlists (including Pete Tong’s ‘Essential Selection’ on BBC Radio 1, Roger Sanchez, Sandy River, Steve Lawler and many others), followed by ‘Star’ released on Swiss ‘Egoiste’ Imprint. ‘Star’ rocked the floors around the globe with it’s driving beats and a bass line to die for. Another bomb was delivered in 2006 on Roger Sanchez Stealth Label: “Twisted” is dark tribal monster that even features Astons voice. On the remix front there has been work done for Ministry of Sound, Boss Records, GUT Records and others. After a break from the Studio Aston is coming back in fall 2007 with two new releases: His single “My lost soul” will be released on Dubais Raisani Records with very interesting remixes.
