Im Normalfall exportiert die Zürcher Szene ihre Partys in die Provinz. Aber es geht auch umgekehrt, wie das Beispiel des Berner DJ-Duos Oliver Basko und Aleno zeigt.

In Bern muss man keinem Partygänger mehr erklären, wer die Eleganza Boys sind. Wer regelmässig im Du Théâtre oder im Liquid aufkreuzt, hat zum Tech-House der DJs Aleno (24) & Oliver Basko (30) schon manche Nacht durchgeschwitzt. «Die beiden Clubs sind so was wie unser Wohnzimmer», sagt Oliver Basko. «Dort geben wir unsere Heimspiele.»
In Zürich, wo die beiden Berner dieses Wochenende auflegen, sieht die Sache etwas anders aus. «Hier Fuss zu fassen, ist nicht ganz einfach», sagt Aleno. «Für viele ist Bern halt immer noch ein Synonym für Provinz.» Dieses Vorurteil versuchen die beiden hinter den Zürcher Turntables nun zu widerlegen: Das Label Eleganza nahm seinen Anfang 2003 im damaligen Zoo, in den Jahren darauf folgten Sets an der Partyreihe Life Is a Bitch im ClubQ oder im Mascotte. «Auch aus Bern kommen Leute, die innovativ sind und guten Sound machen», ist Aleno überzeugt. Unterschiede gebe es bei den Partygängern indes schon. In Bern hole man die Partygänger über die Location oder über die Leute, meint Oliver Basko. «In Zürich läuft das Ganze viel stärker über die Musik.»

Autumn 2007 – New track „The Womanizer“ gets massive crowd reaction all over Switzerland!

The Eleganza Boys are about to release their upcoming summerhit called “The Womanizer”! It already got played as a white label all over Switzerland and the reaction of the crowd always was massive. “The Womanizer” can be played in house and tekhouse/minimal-sets or during peak time and after hours – it always works. The crowd turns completely crazy, when hearing the decent piano-break. We used to play the track in a house-set just some minutes before Seamus Haji was going to take over the DJ-decks and the club was just burning... And we’re also playin' it in tek-house/minimal-sets at 5 o’clock in the morning.

At the moment, we’re recording the track in a new version with female vocals to release it officially in a few weeks…

The Eleganza Boys are Swiss house duo Sandro and Oliver who have over the past 10 years established themselves as a nationally known DJ team. Residencies at "Life is a Bitch"-Events - by far the most hyped party all over Switzerland at the moment - and in clubs such as Liquid Club Berne, Du Théâtre Berne, Via Felsenau Berne and Club Q Zurich made their fan community growing bigger and bigger.
They always turn up to their gigs with the own community – getting the support they deserve! Playing a wide range of house, minimal and tek-house, their first track “The Womanizer” is a summary of the variety of their styles, combining classic house elements with a straight electro/tekhouse-bassline.

With their own event agency “Eleganza Entertainment” they also succeeded in releasing various partylabels all over Switzerland and got huge credits as event promoters. By far the biggest thing in the party-scene of Berne since more than 2 years is DOUBLEKITSCH – decadent, freaky & kitschy Styles, every 2nd month at Liquid Club in Berne…

Eleganza Entertainment also has her own group of dancers (Eleganza Dancers - http://www.myspace.com/eleganzadancers ) and is growing bigger and bigger with it’s own promotion agency (possibility to book models and promo-people for clubs, events, company’s etc.).
