__The new album: Obelisks is available now on Umor-Rex:
"A new and intriguing conceptual background (with tracks dedicated to the likes of Carl Jung and David Bohm) and a whole new approach to sound and composition create a considerable leap from Landscape Memories, Alejandro Morse's previous effort, to Obelisks, his latest album. A very different region of the soul is being tapped here, or another kind of mental phenomenon is being targeted for inspiration. Gone are the chilling open spaces of the previous album; Obelisks offers a claustrophobic condensation of drones and pulses, carefully constructed into disquieting patterns of paranoia amidst a suggested post-industrial landscape. The sense of time and dynamics also marks a departure, with some of the tracks slowly racing and building into a sustained beam of intensity... consciousness expansion by way of accumulated oscillations. “Five (for Robert Ader)†even flirts with the rhythmic language of micro-house, if only to disturb it with carefully timed disruptions and aural hallucinations. This track also crystallizes all of the album's ambitions into a mesmerizing mystery ride through an ambiguous space-time continuum where field recordings have been smashed into elemental particles of phosphorous beauty, dripping on the chemist's matrix... and an obsessive horn connects times real and fictional, past and future, into one single moment of sensuous abstraction. Bold stuff, this."__review Eduardo Padilla.
