THE ART IS EVERYTHING

About Me

NOTE: WWW.ASTRALARTIST.COM is currently down for re-designing, so be sure to visit it when it re-launches in Summer 2008 to view the work of collage master GAMETHEORIST. Read his explanation of life on WWW.OCCULTTHEORY.COMI created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too! You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy .COM's MySpace Profile Editor !I'm a naturally talented artist/illustrator returning to the arts after a long career in hospitality sales, where I was fortunate enough to have met many of my closest friends. Born and raised on the south side of Chicago. I focus my work on photo realistic and comic book style drawing/painting, cartooning, layout/logo design, and am launching several art oriented web sites throughout 2008: my personal site, www.jamieshelton.net, newly launched, www.astralartist.com, due to re-launch in Summer 2008, and the highly anticipated www.AmericanSiren.com, a "homage to the sensual woman, in pictures and prose." More to follow- please enjoy my gallery slideshows.I am heavily into cultural arts of all types: cinema, music, fashion (REAL fashion- style statements made by INDIVIDUALS, not "designer" labels). I try to incorporate my varied cultural interests to some degree into all of my work. That said, most of my art subject interests revolve around fantasy, mysticism, mythology, eroticism, some horror, etc...more work to come on this page!My multi ethnic background- Filipino, Black, English, French, American Indian, Dutch- has empowered me with a unique perspective on most things, especially race and class relations, and religion... :

I'd like to meet:

I'm working on launching a new artists co-operative specifically for self taught / self trained artists. The mission of Neophyte Arts LLC will be to help such artists (who are often excluded from the artistic mainstream for not having trained in a conventional or institutional structure, and who might also not be particularly well connected or networked) to promote and market themselves via various arts ventures designed to exploit their innate artistic gifts. So, if you are a "self taught," "self trained," or otherwise naturally talented visual artist that is looking for new & effective ways of exposing and promoting your work, I WANT TO MEET YOU!!!Neophyte Arts LLC, and its proprietary web site will be launching in 2008, watch for it!I always welcome the chance to meet any like minded "near" rebels that "Dream As If You'll Live Forever, Live As If You'll Die Tomorrow...".. --BEGIN AdlandPro BANNER CODE --

That said, I would lionize anyone that improves themselves and/or their life & the lives of those around them by sheer desire & discipline without intent to harm, undermine or marginalize others. And a special recognition to our military men & women, who prepare diligently, serve willingly and represent faithfully.
