No great artist sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist. -Oscar Wi

About Me

Sticker Club Girl is about art, fashion, and creative spirit. It started as a series of art and fashion events between art girls hosted and encouraged by Lisa Jacobs. Sticker Club started as an activity, Sticker Club Girl has evolved into a line of hand made, vintage and reconstructed products including fashion, jewelry, and art. There are also the signature Sticker Club Girl events and the new store, Conspire at 901 N 5th St @ Garfield completly owned and operated by the artists that are represented in the store, bringing the handemade, hand designed product to the people, without the middleman. Over a dozen local designers are featured consistently along with rotating featured artists each month! Come visit during the First Friday Art Walk. Also, look for Sticker Club Girl products at Retro Redux, The Trunk Trading Co, Mint, Bunky, and Way Cool Hair! Feel free to contact Lisa aka Sticker Club Girl here on Myspace or check out the beta website stickerclubgirl.com.

Music:

I like almost all types of music. I see music as audio art, self expression, in solitude and in unity. A lot of my friends are musicians and they speak of their experiences in the same way that I think about my visual art experiences. Almost with a notion of addiction. I don't prefer top 40 anything, nor do I choose really hard, angry, rantings for my listening pleasure. I usually stick to oldies, classic rock, jazz, indie, folk, punk, hip hop, old RnB, blues, electronic, etc........

Movies:

I am way far behind on movies. I would need to watch 3 a day for the next year just to catch up with the rest of America. I guess I better get a VCR... oh wait they use DVDs now, don't they?

Television:

Yikes, the more tv I am exposed to the less brain cells I feel like I have. Watch it almost never. I catch the occasional late night cartoon, and I can be suckered into it in social surroundings. Peer pressure I swear.

Books:

Love, love, love books. Mostly I spend my time reading books that teach you how to do something, or talk about what other people have done. Lots of instruction manuals, reference materials, and history books. Mostly about art and culture. I love to shop at used book stores and stock them up for future projects. I am tired of owing the library money. I am just going to collect my own. I do love erotic books. Whether it be erotic art, erotic stories, etc. And of course books of self proclaimed vagabonds traveling across the the land by thumb, wit, and wine alone... you know the ones.

Heroes:

My friends , my family, my peers, artists, writers, musicians, dancers, poets, singers, actors, my students, creative spirits of the world showing their souls to the world for all to see. Thank you to all of you for inspiring me.
