I'd like to meet:

Like-minded friends. ADAM DURITZ! And people who are interested and interesting.I'd like to know someone self assured, positive and comfortable with who they are. Someone who wants to really know me, know what makes me laugh, what might make me sad, knows how to get the best of me and will always keep trying even when I make it difficult! Someone who can admire what's on the inside as well as outside! Who wakes up on a Saturday and says lets go and we'll figure it out on the way. I have experienced infatuation, lust and passion and I have loved, but I have yet to discover true unconditional love going both ways... I've not experienced truely romantic gestures... yes, of course I've been spoilt/treated on that commercialised once-a-year day that gets thrust in our faces & guys feel they MUST act on it... I mean a spontaneous, impulse, uncontrived thoughtful gesture... . I like to believe that one day I will find the kind of love that makes me feel totally at ease, able to trust & give my love without fear of it being ridiculed, abused or taken for granted. The kind of love that makes me feel great about myself & blind to the little imperfections we all have, that lets me know I am with the right person & I can believe they feel the same. BUT THEN.... I realise, I already HAVE that love with my son & daughter... I am SO lucky, truely blessed and forever grateful! : )

I'm basically a rock chick, but like all sorts: COUNTING CROWS, Thunder, Aerosmith, Mr Big, Eric Martin,Pink Floyd, Eurythmics, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Who, Queen, Stones, Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Kinks, Whitesnake, Annie Lennox, Genesis, Bryan Adams, Fleetwood Mac, Bon Jovi, Gypsy Kings, The Killers, Fratellis, The View, Alterbridge,Incubus,Pink, Italian Music, even some opera!!! We have some great local bands too. Oh & how could I forget - I love Bob Marley too - always cheers me up & gets me moving! Movies:

I like various, especially psychic thrillers, stuff that uses the imagination. Ghost stuff, the unknown etc. Grumpy Old Men & Grumpier Old Men - Jack Lemmon & Walter Matthau makes me laugh over & over! Love Steve Martin, anything with the great actors, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hanks, both Sutherlands,Goldie Horn, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, Sidney Poitier, Jack Nicholson, Whoopi Goldberg, Robert de Niro, Peter Sellers, Morgan Freeman, John Hurt, Audrey Hepburn, Katherine Hepburn, & I love Dustin Hoffman!

Television:

Don't bother with it much unless Billy Connelly is on! 2DTV was a good laugh & Spitting Image.At home with the Braithwaites was quite good, what I saw of it.I do enjoy funny animals & kids clips. Don't bother with TV mag, so don't catch much.

Books:

All sorts. 'Learning' (spiritual stuff at the moment) but Patrick White excellent author. I tend to read novels about places I've been to or want to visit. Used to read (and write) a lot of poetry. Best books for all of us: 'Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus','Why men don't listen and women can't read maps' & 'The Power of Now'- highly recommended!!

Heroes:

My son & daughter. Enoch Powell, Spike Milligan, Kenny Everett, Billy Connerly,anyone who makes me laugh, Adam Duritz & Danny Bowes. Several others, too many to mention really.
