The Perfumed Garden

About Me

The band that helped kickstart the London electro scene back in 2002 with their now legendary club night NagNagNag, and can be heard DJing there every Wednesday.
Recording with ex-KLF producer Jimmy Cauty in 2003, Atomizer released their debut single HOOKED ON RADIATION on DJ Hell's International DJ Gigolo Records, which featured the Orange Alert remix by the Pet Shop Boys. Whilst touring the globe, two further Jimmy Cauty produced singles BALL & CHAIN (2004) & UNDERDOG (2005) were released on their own NagNagNag Records, along with ZERO ZERO / NOSTALGIA (2006), before the debut album RUBBER YOUTH in October 2006.
The single I'D PREFER NOT TO / ROT OF THE STARS was released on 7" and download in June 2007, with a video inspired by the 1972 cult British film "Bartleby", based on the existential Herman Melvill short story "Bartleby, the Scrivener: A Story of Wall-Street" (1853).
The band's next single was the JE SUIS LESBIEN E.P. available on 12" and download throgh iTunes, Beatport, emusic etc, was a homage to Pierre Molinier, a one-time member of the Surrealists cast out by André Breton, whose photo montages of himself and others cross-dressing in S&M couture, shot through a keyhole lens, pioneered the exploration of sexuality outside the norm.
The Orange Alert remix of HOOKED ON RADIATION appeared the Pet Shop Boys album DISCO 4, which was released October 2007.
Atomizer have radically remixed the Soft Cell track THE ART OF FALLING APART for a remixes album coming soon.
Atomizer have also remixed the following artists: My Toys Like Me, Client, Boy George, Readers Wifes ft. Justin Bond, Rubicks, Siobahn Fahey, Kings Have Long Arms, Ape Drape Escape, To My Boy, Headland, Mechanical Cabaret, Specimen, Stazi, Napsugar & Decohere.
Atomizer are currently working on their new E.P. to be released in Summer 2008.

ATOMIZER
RUBBER YOUTH
[NAGNAGNAG]
At last the debut album from NagNagNag protagonists Jonny Slut and Fil OK.
Too many can shriek a few words over a tinpot electro cliche and lay a claim to sleaze but the racket these two cook up is the real deal. Their three singles - produced by KLFer Jimmy Cauty - set out their stall for grungy, shouting punk-attack statements which not only whipped up the ghosts of electros past and Bowie but PiL and the 80s gutter-sounds of New York. Underneath tingles a spot-on pop sensibility, a feel for the killer chorus.
The three singles - 'Hooked On Radiation', 'Ball & Chain' and 'Underdog' - are here, along with pants-strafing nuggets like the post-holocaust love ditty of 'These Modern Boys' and sweeping 'The Violence Of Our Last Goodbye'. Jonny started working towards this in 1982 when he was pinup synth molester for Specimen - their modernised 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang' is here too. Its like all the influences he's romped in since that debauched adolescence have assembled here to be kicked into touch with his Atomizer likemind Fil.
They've included remixes they've committed for the likes of Pet Shop Boys as a bonus to the fun of their club being captured. Get 'em off and get it on.
