(No i am not getting it because of size, its because of the Damn Impressive Picture Quailty it put out, and 1080p HDMI input for Blu-ray playback) and also my Current HDTV is dieing of old age. Things that excite me are that Local News in Chicago is moving forward with HDTV Broadcasts
The most recent exciting thing to happen is WLS-TV ( the Local Chicago ABC Affilaite) getting Their Entire Newscasts and Local Programming In HD and their new Traffic News Helicopter (Chopper 7HD) which broadcast Live HDTV footage from the Sky
A big Congrats to WLS-TV,
Just recently, WMAQ (Local NBC affilaite) made the switch to HD Newscasts, along with their helicopter in HD (Sky5 HD)
Not too far behind is WBBM-TV (Local CBS affilaite) which will launch their Local Newscasts in HD (summer 2008) once they move in their new studio at block 37 (CBS Broadcast Center) 108 North State Street. Now Who's Next ....... ? Are you listening Chicago Broadcasters ? :-)
