Show & Tell

reading you into the 21st century

About Me

Who am I? Who is anyone really? Or anything. Well, I guess for starters, I'm a comedy show at the UCB Theatre in L.A. I happen the first Wednesday of every month, the next show being January 9, 2008, at 8 PM. But I'm also an idea, an entity, a way to bring people together to exchange ideas. But short answer - a comedy show. And that's probably all you wanted before I started babbling. And that's my mistake, and I apologize.

My Interests

www.showandtellshow.com

I'd like to meet:

People who still don't have a cell phone, not because they can't afford it, but because they remember the good, ol' days when we used to wait ten minutes to get home and call our friend back about that guy with the rat tail that she hooked up with. Remember those days? The days before we made that call while waiting in line at Ralph's while the cashier is bagging our turkey bacon? Those were good times. So I'd like to meet those people. Oh, and I'd like to meet Jeff Tweedy.

Music:

Wilco, Stevie Wonder, Pavement, Prince, They Might Be Giants, Dylan, The Shins, Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah, Michael Penn, Liz Phair, Aimee Mann, Bread, Tribe Called Quest, Kanye West, Arcade Fire, Jobim, Beck, Iron and Wine, Decembrists, Colin Hay, Eric B & Rakim, Stereolab, Jim Bianco, Inara George, Led Zeppelin, The Jayhawks, The Magic Numbers, Neutral Milk Hotel, Sam Winch, The Rolling Stones, The Thrills, Traffic, and Weezer.Oh, and of course, this heart-warming ballad which was performed by Price Nash and Blieden at Show & Tell in the Spring of 2007.

Movies:

Star Wars, Rushmore, Anchorman, Melvin Goes to Dinner, Tootsie

Television:

Lost, Friday Night Lights, What's Happening, What's Happening Now

Books:

To Kill a Mockingbird, IV by Chuck Klosterman

Heroes:

the Bowie version, not the Wallflowers re-make
