About Me

crooked hook, once just a nameless force floating through space, collided with the earth sometime ago. the collision sent the force deep into the nether parts of the earth, only to emerge as a mass of mud, magma and space dust. one day it crossed paths with apu illapu the incan god of thunder. after wrestling with the mass for years, the god was growing weary of the fight and called on all power from the heavens. a bolt of lightning shot across the sky and on it's impact the god shifted the mass into 3 mortal men. apu illapu could have easily destroyed the men with one mighty thunderclap, but instead set them free. one to echo the cries of all who challenge the gods and two who were to match the sound of thunder and remind the mortals of the gods awesome power. and from there they were to be known as crooked hook. holding the powers of the ancients from earth's later 20th century and bringing them forth into this 21st century they too are conjourers. casting spells over the wicked, sending potions over to that cute girl in the corner near the back of the bar, letting evil demons carry our stuff into a gig so they don't have to pay, you know, that kind of stuff. that's what the gods wanted.

Crooked Hook's five song EP was a super-fuzzed slab of retro-goodness sort of like buying a vintage jacket and finding a wad of $20s in the inside pocket. If I had to make a list of under appreciate...
