About Me

I've been around a long time, around 6000 years. Let me go ahead and give a shot out to my Sumerian friends for inventing me. Word! It was a simple mistake, really: someone left some bread outside, it rained, and then it started fermenting. After a while, someone picked it up, ate it, and got wasted. The rest is history.The Sumerians thought it was a gift from Ninkasi, the goddess of brewing. Fact is that Ninkasi was a girlfriend of mine, and not unlike Katie Holmes, being next to me gave her undue credit. It didn't last long after she started getting songs written about her. She was lousy in bed anyway, but I digress...It's amazing to me... people all over the world have found what they have around them to flavor and make beer. Different wheat, barley, corn, camel milk, and fruit can be used. And I've changed over the years, as we all do as we age. I've gone through a lot of personal growth as I've gone from warm and unfiltered and used for food by peasants to cold and frost-brewed and used as food by college students. Some things change, and some things stay the same.Things took a really nasty turn for me thanks to the Romans... they found my mortal enemy: wine. They deemed it as the nectar of the gods. Truthfully, wine and I used to be drinking buddies. Wine had a better publicist and totally went negative on me, digging up my past. We've all made mistakes, and sometimes the people I hang out with do stupid things when I'm around. Drunken assholes! Guilt by association is a bitch. Since then we really haven't been on speaking terms. And I hate the movie Sideways. Freaking wine sales increased 11% in the US after that movie broke out. If I ever meet Thomas Haden Church I'm going to punch his teeth in.I do have a couple of good friends though: The Booze family. They're a good group, and I guess I'm closest to Tequila, Rum, and Vodka. We hang out a lot, usually in bars. They're good guys, even though Tequila sometimes starts trouble.

My Interests

Hanging out with friends, listening to music, and always having a good time. I'm not too big on driving though...

I'd like to meet:

I love meeting people. I'm really a people person. The more people I meet, the more friends I have. So if you guys see me somewhere, whether it be a convenient store, grocery store, bar, restaurant, nightclub, party, or a friend's house just come up and say 'Hi'.To all my friends, please post your pictures of us together having a good time. I still don't own a digital camera (I know, it's stupid) so post them as comments for me!

Music:

Usually rock, rap, punk, pop, R&B, country, hell pretty much anything. I'm not big on Classical or Gospel, but other than that it's all good.

Movies:

I'm a big fan of horror movies and comedies. I love a good comedy.

Television:

TV's only good for sports, like with the crowds at the World Cup. Hooligans make soccer fun!

Books:

I read more magazines than books, for the articles, of course! Big thanks to Hugh and Larry!

Heroes:

Of course the people out there working hard everyday, keeping things moving, building things, working for the man, and protecting their countries. I did a stint in the military myself, so I know what its like. I try to hook up with people like that on the weekends as much as I can.
