Malikee has been bringin it raw from the street in spanish english french and japaneese for the last 17 yrs. He has put it down on the subways on NYC to the homless shelters of Tiajuana Mexico. From the big stage blastin rage to spittin in tha couty jail that got him put in a solitary cage. He has blasted the stage at Grafton Correctional Institution at a Kwanza celebration. He has blasted the stage in the most presigious Unversitys like Oberlin, Cleveland State, Akron U, Ohio Weslyan, Ohio U, Kent State to doing a regular breakfast open mic in a appartment in the projects in cleveland for homeless men working temp labour.. He worked with Poet Lauretate Daniel Thompson (rip) to set up a read in Downtown Cleveland's Public Square for homeless people every Sunday. He has opened for Talib Kweli, Common, The COUP, Sonja Sanchez, The Mad Professor, Burning Spear, KRS-1 Julian B (Muskogee Creek Nation), Romona Africa (MOVE), just to name a few he has worked with Without Reservations, Kevin Powel, La Resistencia, Upski, Rage Agaisnt the Machine, Downset, Dead Prez, The Last Poets The American Indian Movement and Amri Baraka.
Malikee is defently a hybrid ready for the future, mixing many cultural aspects into a from of poetry he created based off of Bruce Lee's jeet kun do,
it is a form of Chi channeling the energies of the oppressed peoples of the world into a culturecypher . It is tha same Chi that drives a blade of grass through a telephone pole during a tornado, get ready for Iron Dragon Poetry.
