Fronted by Christina Fleming, In Tenebris effortlessly merge gripping rock riffs with intricate orchestral touches. The result is nothing short of breathtaking.
The band’s origins can be traced to the adolescence of founding members, Fleming and Jdavyd Williams. Their combined classical music training– hers in voice, his in guitar– as well an affection for underground music encouraged the two to create music together. Fortunately, finding eager band-mates was not a problem.
Nathaniel Acker was enlisted on bass guitar, with longtime scene-maker Michael Johnson completing the rhythm section on drums. After witnessing In Tenebris live, Marshall Camden completed the band’s sound by augmenting preprogrammed synthesizers with live, dynamic keyboard work.
Respected and nationally recognized bands took notice, and soon In Tenebris began playing shows with Ours, The Birthday Massacre, Bella Morte and The Last Dance. They also won new fans by playing the following festivals: Reverence, Cirque Macabre, and Eccentrik.
In May of 2007, they released their self-titled debut full-length CD. Re Gen Magazine summed it up best: "A mature, professional sounding effort... (that) conjures up sights of Victorian concert halls."
In August 2007, In Tenebris officially disbanded. You can keep up to date on the news relating to band members and their new projects by adding this profile to your friends list, or by following any of the links listed in the "top friends" area.
