BANDS (in no particular order):One of the best albums ever, what i would have done to see these guys live.....Tool - Easily one of the best live bands i've ever seen, they put on an awesome show...Pelican - One of my favourite bands at the moment. Epic, progressive instrumental stoner / post rock - beautiful, emotional music...Classic 90's heavy metal, and some of the best guitar riffs ever - Dimebag R.I.P...Devin Townsend treads the fine line between nutter and genius, and his music sounds all the better for it. Strapping Young Lad are his main band, and City is their masterpiece in my humble opinion. His solo stuff is wicked too (a tad more chilled than SYL!) - especially Ocean Machine, Terria and Infinity...Epic Swedish prog-metal with a strong 70's influence. Not recommended for My Chemical Romance fans...Surely the greatest pure thrash metal album ever - and it's still sounds unbelievably fresh after 20 years!..This is a classic prog album, only 5 tracks but still 45 mins long! Shine On You Crazy Diamond is an immense tribute to Syd Barrett (RIP) - i love this band...There's not a bad song on this quality album from the Ramones of stoner rock, the mighty Fu Manchu. It always puts me in a good mood :)..Classic album by this awesome supergroup - i never thought i'd see them live but managed to catch them twice in June 2006 at London Astoria and Download festival, they blew me away!..Oceanic is an awesome, majestic, epic album and i was lucky enough to see Isis perform it live at the Camden Koko in July 2006 - i'm still recovering...Probably the best debut album i've heard in a while, and it's bloody addictive - like a cross between Sabbath / Sleep and Mastodon, yep it's as good as that sounds...Talking of Sleep, Holy Mountain is more glorious Sabbath worship - riff, after riff, after.....Wildhearts, Jane's Addiction, Faith No More, Prodigy, Sex Pistols, Obituary, Radiohead, Orange Goblin, Metallica (thrash era), Black Sabbath, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Ramones, Nirvana, Ozzy, Burst, Deftones, Grand Magus, Dozer, Lamb Of God, Muse, Hermano, Electric Eel Shock, Therapy?, Monster Magnet, Manics, Earthtone 9, One Minute Silence, The Mars Volta, Apocalyptica, Helmet, King Crimson, Ennio Morricone, Stiff Little Fingers, Mastodon, Smashing Pumpkins, Primal Scream, Spiritual Beggars, Carcass, Pentagram, Refused, AC/DC, Corrosion Of Conformity, Clutch, Onedice, Soundgarden, early Machine Head, Emperor, Decapitated, Capricorns, Sepultura (Max era), Zimmer's Hole, At The Gates, AC/DC, Jecano, Gutworm, Neurosis, In Flames, Nebula, Mogwai, Ministry, Motorhead, Aphex Twin, Colour Haze, Blue Cheer, Dying Fetus, Black Dahlia Murder, Prong, Poison The Well, Diamond Head, Medulla Nocte, The Misfits, Sona Fariq, Snub, Unida, Fear Factory, SOAD, Dream Theater (Americans can't spell!), Soulfly, Jimi Hendrix, Yob, Iron Monkey, Obiat...stuff like that. Also, check out my friend's band Yuuki at:http://www.myspace.com/yuukimusic

Jack Nicholson and Stanley Kubrick - what a combination. Here's Johnny!..This movie is pretty violent and visually extreme, but really inventive - it's a Japanese Yakuza film, not for the faint hearted...Classic band, quality film - i love Pink Floyd. The animation is great too...This is one of the best British films i've seen in years - it's a dark, gritty as hell, low budget revenge movie. By now you've possibly realised that Bambi is unlikely to be in my fave film list.....Great road trip movie, quality soundtrack - these guys had the right idea...Another quality British film - hilarious with brilliant social observations...This is a brilliant Thai martial arts film which doesn't rely on tricks or effects - just awesome fight scenes and chase sequences. Tony Jaa is the king of Muay Thai!..Films with Al Pacino / Jack Nicholson, directors i like include Miike Takashi, Danny Boyle, Todd Solondz, Quentin Tarantino and Peter Jackson, black comedies, horror, thrillers, Bond films, Lord Of The Rings, 28 Days Later, Scent Of A Woman, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Day Of The Jackal, Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Touching The Void, Labyrinth, Die Hard 1 and 3, Terminator 1 and 2, Closer, Snatch, South Park, Shawshank Redemption, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, The Cell, From Dusk Til Dawn, Trainspotting, The Goonies, Uncle Buck, Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2, Star Wars, Back To The Future trilogy, Requiem For A Dream, Full Metal Jacket, Football Factory, Happiness, Schindler's List, The Ring 1 and 2, Audition, The Bear, Hitler: The Rise Of Evil, Man On Fire, Oldboy, Spirited Away, The Idiots, Saw, Wolf Creek, Palindromes, Final Destination, Shaolin Soccer, Infernal Affairs, The Italian Job (original!), Quadrophenia, Dogtown and Z Boys, Michael Moore documentaries, Detroit Rock City, Spinal Tap, The Filth and The Fury, End of The Century (Ramones documentary).
Beavis and Butthead..I love Chris Morris's sense of humour, pretty much everything he has done is brilliant in my book...This show always cracks me up - the observations it makes are painfully accurate and i really like the way it's filmed from a first-person perspective, plus you can hear what the guys are thinking which adds a whole new dimension to the comedy...The Day Today, Men Behaving Badly, The Office, Jam, Little Britain, Coupling, Game On, Fantasy Football, Trigger Happy TV, Bo Selecta, Jackass, Dirty Sanchez, Banzai, Big Train, Extras, Scuzz, MTV2, live football, Question Time, Dead Ringers, Fawlty Towers, Porridge, Only Fools and Horses, South Park, They Think It's All Over, Have I Got News For You, Nevermind The Buzzcocks, Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned, Whose Line Is It Anyway, Green Wing, Sky Sports, BBC nature documentaries, The Word.
I'd be lying if i said i was a big reader...unless a book really grabs me i've got a short attention span and can normally find things i'd rather be doing. I've got a couple of biographies to get through at some point - John Peel and Aleister Crowley.
