Justin A. Leigh

Justin Leigh performs regularly in Philadelphia, New York and Washington D.C. in various styles and settings. Currently he is touring with Natalie Walker, playing for sold out audiences in such venues as The Temple Bar, The Roxy, Joe’s Pub, The Paradise Lounge and The World Café Live. He is a graduate from Temple University with a degree in music performance. Justin has performed with such musicians as Terell Stafford, Rufus Reid, Tim Hagans, Eugene Maslov and Tommy Conwell and studied with such notable musicians as Jim Paxson, Ari Hoenig, Jean-Micel Pilc and Byron Landham. He can be heard on the records Don't Put Me In No Box by Rhett Tyler, The Mythic Belief & More by Daniel Peterson and on his new group's self-titled EP Ellipsis. His music has been featured on 90.1FM WRTI and in such Philadelphia venues as Chris' Jazz Café, Ortlieb's Jazz Haus, and The World Cafe Live. Leigh is also an accomplished educator for students of all levels and abilities. He has his own studio of private students as well as teaching at many local high schools. He has run indoor and outdoor drumline programs and has worked with various jazz band rhythm sections. Justin has also done clinics at many schools as well as for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association. Leigh is a very visible and active member in the Philadelphia area both as a performer and educator.
