About Me

I am jazz musician, a composer and a teacher. My craft is both an endeavor of the imagination and an effective tool in bringing people together. I have found music to be a communication which transcends all human differences. The creative arts, and particularly music, taps into people’s imaginations and can allow for a deep sense of connection with all humanity. I have experienced firsthand how music can strengthen the relationships between people of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities by connecting them with higher ideals and truths. It is an incredibly powerful force for positive changes in our society and our world. It can make people cry, fight, remember, fall in love, and protest. Music which attains this level of communication and expression represents the highest achievements of mankind. My ultimate goal in studying music is to refine my ability to create sounds which communicate these beliefs; music which can weave together varied artistic expressions, influences and ideas to present a unified celebration of both the commonality of people and the height to which our imaginations can take us. -
