Mavis started VJing back in the early days of the scene in 1999, after a chance meeting with Raya at the Big Chill Enchanted Garden. Initially playing art videos whilst their DJs performed, Mavis and Raya moved on to use two vhs machines and an MX50 and rapidly stepped up to using laptops and pcs. Whilst with Raya she VJed & provided live camera for artists including Herbaliser, Big Daddy Kane, Pharcyde and Asian Dub Foundation. Performing at The Big Chill, Dedbeat, The Scala, Lakota, and other festivals and UK venues.
In 2002 she co-founded We Make Telly www.wemaketelly.com with Nick Corrigan/Nickin, one of the country's leading graphic animators. WMT was a group of animators and film makers who produced tour visuals (for the likes of Badly Drawn Boy), corporate animations (Future Foundation), art installation videos (Greenbelt Festival alt worship), workshops (British Antartica),as well as VJing for people like Adam Freeland and Armitage Shanks Soundsystem and at UK festivals and club nights like Soxan and Peepshow, around the country.
In 2005 Mavis started working with Burt Latino, creating a complete AV show which toured live performing at festivals including SpringSix, The Big Chill, Big Chill Goa, Bestival, and supporting Coldcut and Hexstatic on tour.

Currently she's is the resident VJ for, and DJs with Daft Pink. Daft Pink have had a South London sunday session for several years now, and have performed their mix of all things musically good, at the Big Chill House, Big Chill Festival, Big Chill Goa and ABC Mini Chill.
Mavis uses a combination of self filmed footage and found footage, all with a cinematic feel to it. Often humourous, she likes playing with images, colour and tempo, to produce visuals to compliment and enhance the audio.
