My names Steve/Strike. I'm based in North Devon in the South West of the UK. I'm a Vinyl addict & have been known to steal fish fingers to swap for records. Luckily I know a record dealer who is a fish finger addict. If you happen to catch me at the weekend i'll probably be stumbling around drunk talking about the benefits of a herb crust to add to the flavour of fishcakes. If you do see me, throw a net over me & call the Police.

Over the past few years I've dj'd at nights around the South West with the likes of Rodney P & Skitz, Blade, Phi life cypher, Pitman, First Rate, Mr Thing & Raekwon, to name a few. I play mainly hiphop but i'm in to all kinds of music.

I have been putting on hiphop nights under the name Madscience for the last 6 years, alongside fellow dj's Johnny skratch (The Urban Hobo) & Westax. In early 2005 local mc's 'The Unknown' joined us at our madscience nights & then at the end of April '05 we expanded further with the addition of some of the areas most talented live musicians. This kept on building & finally ended with the formation of The Breaks. As a member of The Breaks I played support for Courtney Pine, Soweto Kinch, Ed Motta, Gilles Peterson, Dj Format, The Freestylers & The Pharcyde. I recently decided to leave The Breaks to concentrate on my first love, which is djing.

At the end of last year I met a man who claims that he used to be a goose - Heavy Stylus & I started a residency, playing once a month at his night at the Verve bar in Exeter. I've been getting in to freestyling over the last couple of years & can often be found in cypher circles formed around the frozen food section in some of your major supermarkets. I beat the Infamous Mc/Shelf Packer 'John Davis' in a battle recently when I visited sainsbury's in Bristol & went on to the finals, where I won enough frozen food to go home & cook my crew a fine roast dinner.
