This ensemble of friends is a Body ministry, each one bringing their own unique style in order to complete the whole vision of the group. Their vision is to encourage and inspire the hearts of all they come in contact with the sound of the Gospel through the ministry of song.Just Friends consists of; Gus Lacy; Min. Patricia Hill; Janice Gilmore-Price; Joni Olander; Min. Faith Howard; Min. Lorie Smith; Charles Lacy and Richard Gibbs.Just Friends was birthed in 1997 and has performed in many diverse arenas from gospel to corporate and community service events. They were featured background vocalist for the debut Gospel stage play "New Beginning" written by Dr. Kenneth D. Phelps of Imani Faith Productions. The group was featured on Music N’ Session filmed at the Fairmont Metropole Room in Chicago. They have been featured at the Chicago Gospel Music Festival Day Stage in Millennium Park. They are the background vocalist for The Caravans Stellar and Grammy nominated CD entitled “Paved The Way†on Malaco Records. The group has performed locally, nationally and internationally sharing the stage with some of gospel music’s most influential recording artists; Dr. Albertina Walker, Evangelist Dorothy Norwood, Inez Andrews, The Caravans, Reverend Jessy Dixon, Reverend Calvin Bridges, Leanne Faine, Walter Whitman and the Soul Children of Chicago and Evangelist Angela Spivey, just to name a few.In this ministry you will find true worshipers in love with Christ and His message. In addition to their passion for music, you will also find love, peace & friendship, the ingredients that make the phenomenal sound of Just Friends.
