When you listen to Nate Pointer, you will hear a simple song with simple lyrics, but it offers a powerful message. His ministry goes far beyond the realms of music, but it extends to the daily routines of his life. Whether it is singing, dancing, engaging in a conversation at the barber shop, or simply just saying hello
to someone, Nate truly desires for the love of Christ to be demonstrated to others through his life.
Actively singing since the age, of seven, Nate has had the opportunity to sing across the country with some of the greatest of our time. At age eight, Nate became a member of the Soul Children of Chicago under the leadership of Walt Whitman, and was able to experience life outside of the hood and became a very cultured individual and disciplined singer and performer. During and since the time of Nates participation in the Soul Children, He has been involved in several recordings and has had the opportunity to sing behind many well known artists,
some including Aretha Franklin, R. Kelly, Garth Brooks, Dionne Warwick and many more.

Recently, Nate recorded live with Zomba recording artist, and Stellar Award winner Vickie Winans , and also just performed with Grammy Award winner Kelly Price. Also, coming in 2007 Nate will be featured on the live CD/DVD "Promises", by Tyscot artist own, Vashawn Mitchell, and "Work" by Chicago's very own Dexter Walker and Zion Movement.
Nate recenetly recorded, LIVE!, his freshmen project, LIFEsongs: LIVE at Spoken Word, which will be released in the Spring of 2008. This album promises to be a keeper as it is captures the very heart of this generation musically, spiritually, and mentally. It will be a winner to all who hear.
In 2006, Nate released his single "Just a Test". It's a song about the ups and downs of life, with a message of hope and assurance that they are only temporary situations. This song is also the personal testimony of Nate's, who at the young age of 23 has definitely experienced some of the hardships of life. From growing up in what some consider a broken home, to involvement in a relationship that left him near death, Nate has experienced enough in life that allows the motivation and authenticity of his music to be felt by all who are listening. And his music is in no way deceiving. "Trust you", featured on Nate's single, speaks of his some of the day to day financial struggles, and even with the desire to live a life of celibacy in a world of sexual promiscuity. These songs are sure to leave you strengthened and encouraged to walk out Gods purpose and destiny for your life.
He also just released his promotional project, Just A Test. which contains a variation of styles, from R&B to Urban Inspirational. Nate hopes that his music will offer hope to the hopeless, and the inspiration needed to push one into get all that life has to offer.
