Everyone has a story...What's Yours?

About Me

I'm now the Entertainment Editor and Events Photographer for the new NewOrleans.com web site, media consultant for Michaul's Live Music Restaurant, and Media guru for Fleur de Tease Burlesque Revue. I'm the previous Music Editor, writer, & Society Party Pics Page Photographer with Where Y' at Magazine, "NOLA's Party Girl" for Travelhost of New Orleans. I'm simply a Katrina 'Fugee that spent most of the time in Baton Rouge cooking and doing laundry for a bunch of doctor friends doing rescue missions back into N.O. during the storm. Oddly enough, I'm an artistic Media Arts Tulane Grad that didn't go for all the corporate bs in the ratt race. I love NOLA and would never leave...hence why I'm a jack of all trades when it comes to working. Some of my favs have included working with Second-Liners and Mardi Gras Indians designing banners, flags, and other artwork for them through my parents wholesale florist business along with doing volunteer work as a reader for WRBH Radio in N.O. I enjoy having a very flexible schedule and being able to attend some of the hottest functions in NOLA. I'm into N.O. music from groups like Galactic, BTE, Cowboy Mouth, George Porter, Bonerama, Rebirth, Soul Rebels, etc along with kama sutra, belly dancing, massage, thrift stores, checking out the N.O. scenes, etc. My friends tell me that some of my best attributes are my brutal honesty, sarcastic and outgoing sense of humor, ability to pull off just about anything, and a friendly smile. I love piercings and ink. I have a tat on my left ankle in memory of my son Kaleb Ezra, who passed in my arms when he was 3-days old of what doctors later ruled as SIDS.

My Interests

Kama Sutra, the arts, massage, belly dancing, writing, N.O. Music, etc.

I'd like to meet:

Well I met Tom Arnold when he was down here and appeared on the Best Damn Sports Show which wasn't really that much of a thrill. I've ran into actors down here..no biggie. I think Drew Barrymoore would be cool to have lunch and hang with since I've been told by many people that I remind them of her..Who knows??? I like to cook and hang out with artists and musicians that are cool to talk to...I find many don't like mornings, just like myself, and are actually very down to earth.

Music:

Pretty much all types especially anything from New Orleans including Galactic, BTE, Rebirth, Soul Rebels, Gradoux, Hot 8, Soul Project, George Porter, Cowboy Mouth, the Meters, Midnite Disturbers, Bonerama, Garage A Trois, etc. I love a good drum beat that makes you want to dance, drink, and have a good time. I also love Blondie, KC & the Sunshine Band, Duran Duran, INXS, Creed, Lenny Kravitz, Incubus, Dave Mathews, Earth Wind & Fire, Alanis Morisette, Depeche Mode, Early 90's Alternative Music that no one liked when it wasn't cool and mainstream yet..lol

Movies:

I enjoy comedies mostly, but some of my favs include Closer, 40 Year Old Virgin, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Better Off Dead, the original Blues Brothers, Animal House, 2001 : A Space Odessey (Kubrick is a freakin genious!), Pretty In Pink. I love my Incubus, U2, Dave Mathews, Lenny Kravitz, and other music dvd's. Most of all I love my Seinfeld "Festivous" dvd collection along with my own personal porn flicks...Unfortunately the pornos got lost in the Katrina floodwaters... Doesn't matter, the insurance company would demand a viewing and still wouldn't want to pay for it...lol

Television:

I rarely have an opportunity to do tv, but when I do, I enjoy catching Miami Ink, Seinfeld reruns, Food Channel, & HGTV. Unfortunately there is way too much Disney Channel & Noggin on due to my daughter taking the remote control and hiding it so I can't find it.

Books:

The Kama Sutra...Read It, Live It, Love It !!!!

Heroes:

I got it...Seinfeld, George Costanza's father inventing the greatest holiday ever, "Festivous" where you tell your family what HUGE disappointments they've been to you all year long and then you wrestle them down to the floor after decorating the aluminum pole with a cheap tinsel garland.
