OUR MISSION:
Booftroop Dance Co. proudly represents the San Jose Bay Area as we strive to promote different styles of dance through dedicated training and performance. We continuously strive to grow and learn as individuals as well as a group while upholding a positive atmosphere of love and respect.
Booftroop is a dance company founded by Krisuan Christopher Rosalejos. Booftroop consists of dancers from all around the Bay Area who share the same passion. The style of choreography is characterized by distinctive, flowy movements applied to all types of music. The term "Booft" is a sound effect used during rehearsals, and has been understood by the group as a positive term for peace, love and respect.
Booftroop originated in 2004 as a final project for the Hiphop Dance 1 class at De Anza College. After performing the final project at the "World Famous Dance Demos", the group came to a conclusion that they had all grown, not just friends who each had a love for dance, but also as a dance troupe that had full potential to take their talents to a higher level. From that point on, Booftroop continued to rehearse and perform hiphop numbers at various functions. Booftroop opened up for artists such as Furious, Mr. Sef, The Diligentz, & Traxamillion. Booftroop became the closing act of "LIVE SF 2006" which headlined Christina Millian, Amerie, Bubba Sparxx, The Team and more. Booftroop dancers have worked with artists such as Raz-B (former B2K), Holly Rae, Victor "Pappi Grande" Saragosa, Raw Dog, Kim Del Fiero, Immij, and the Black Eyed Peas.
