Real name Jammal Day, he was born in Bronxville, NY... raised in Stone Mountain, GA (Metro Atlanta)... and partially in Montclair, New Jersey. This young man has a very diverse taste in music and it shows in the music that he creates. He began making beats early in high school, just for fun, but soon enough, it became serious. More and more people took a liking to the style that was produced. Named after the pianist, Ahmad Jamal, he was exposed to many genres of music as a child. His mother played all kinds of music, from Beethoven to Whitney Houston to Bob Marley to Anita Baker to the Temptations to Marvin Gaye and ofcourse Michael Jackson. In his early years, he had no idea that it would create his and impact his style now. Jammal began playing music at an early age when his mother enrolled him in piano lessons. Once the basic class was over, he was enrolled in drum set lessons. In the 6th grade he began playing the trumpet. In the 7th grade, he made the switch to french horn when requested by his band director. From there, Jammal went on to perform on many other brass instruments such as the baritone and tuba. He was accepted to Howard University's music school on the french horn and marched with the HU "Showtime" Marching Band. During this time at Howard, Jammal arranged numerous popular charts for the marching band and they were performed publicly. At Howard University, he majored in Music with elective studies in Business and minored in french horn. Now he's back up north in New Jersey, going to school in New York for Audio Engineering and Production.
