George Matherson Horn has loved electronic music since the age of 16 when it was first introduced to him. His first mixed CD that he heard was SASHAs SanFrancisco GU, and it had him hooked. He loved that there were minimal vocals throughout an entire album, and that most of the music was based around bringing sounds in and out allowing him to use his own imagination. To be absorbed in a state of mind, that could be altered through mixing and make you want to move, was fascinating to him. After that he wanted to learn what the DJing world was all about. He bought his first turntables not having a clue how to mix or beatmatch, and nobody to show him. Over a short period of time he had taught himself the basics of spinning records and creating smooth transitions between tracks. Now he is playing up and down the East Coast at venues shared by other fellow Djs and promoters. Soon he hopes to be recognized around the globe for his taste in music and his choice of mixing, but most importantly just for what he loves to do. Today George has taken things to another level for him that he hope to be recognized for. He has been producing for about 4 years now, and just like learning to spin he is also self taught in the production end of things. Now he helps to run productions for his own label with partner ADAM ABOURAYA, and is also working on remixes for other labels from the US to the UK. So, keep your ears peeled because you can only expect more to come from George.
