anything by takeshi kitano - Sir Alan Parker is a don! - Iñárritu's two films before hollywood turned him into a self-plagurising conformist - anything written by charlie Kaufman (he's the best thing to happen to american cinema this century) - chan wook park films.... what can i say?! - Terry Gilliam films either crash & burn or work really well but he's always original & worth watching - love Spike!! can u believe he's all mainstream hollywood now?! Hal Ashby's stuff is nicely idiosincratic - Michel Gondry is a truly visionary director & proves that CGI is overated (sorry CVA)!! - Fabián Bielinsky only ever made 2 films before he died.... watch them - Gilles Mimouni's only movie will make you wonder why he hasn't made any more (plus monica belluci's in it!!!) - the scott brothers make amazing looking films (plots can be rubbish though)- Luc Besson films always make me wanna watch them again straight away (go watch angel-a) - DAVID LYNCH GIVES ME A HEADACHE!! - R.I.P robert altman & Anthony Minghella
