"It's unlikely we'll ever return to settle in the homeland of our ancestors but we shall never forget the legacy of those who came before us... Abira Forever"
Abira Forever is a young clothing company that blends historical storytelling with modern fashions. Named after a small village in Ghana, where a founding member finds his roots, Abira Forever aims to connect global immigrants and indigenous people with their homeland through the medium of design.
Abira Forever launched its first range of t-shirts at the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana; titled the ‘I Love’ series, the line replaces the heart with country borders and was an instant hit among scores of football fans wanting to support and represent their respective nations.
Abira Forever’s unique take on the well-known slogan have made the t-shirts a favourite among fashion conscious patriots worldwide and were even adorned by Portsmouth footballers Nwankwo Kanu and Sulley Muntari as they lifted the FA Cup after their historic triumph over Cardiff City.
The Abira Forever team are currently working on expanding the ‘I Love’ line to include more nations and feature new colours. If you would like to see your country represented, email the team at [email protected].
