Blundering thro life, getting older but no wiser

About Me

Ex pat Gloucestershire bumpkin - came to Reading as an (alledged) mature student and got sucked in by the bright lights (? ) or more imp work in the Thames Valley. Enjoy the odd different sport. Earn my meagre crust as a building surveyor

My Interests

A little of this, a little of that. Esp, Whitewater Kayaking, Scuba Diving and Mountain Biking. My current meccas seem to be NZ, Nepal, Antarctica, Morocco and getting back to Germany and N Spain to see my friends over there. Also into motorbikes yay.

I'd like to meet:

Errr you?? lol :o)would be cool to catch up with a few folks from the past and keep in contact with those of the present, and perhaps meet new friends for the future, who knows.

Music:

Seem to have rediscovered the Audiophile in me recently, yay, currently really into, Goldfrapp (swoon) [ that'll be no suprise to my friends he he ] and pretty much anything else, always looking for something new to heighten the senses. Can be found wandering the Goldfrapp Message Board as pob06. Currently also enjoying, Client, Ladytron, Cat power, The Cat Empire, The Black Heart Procession, Stereophonics (great live), Manic Street Preachers, Metallica, System of a down, Bic Runga, Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins and plenty of other bits and bobs.

Movies:

Depends on my mood, current faves includeThe Big Blue (version longue): Diva: Man on Fire: Any Monty Python: The Dish: Underworld: Shawshank Redemption: Contact: A matter of life and death: Charlies Angels: Shrek: A Nightmare before Christmas (Tim Burton)

Television:

Very little, a few sit coms/decent documentaries, quite frankly most TV isnt worth the airtime. Do love Fawlty Towers, Black Books, Father Ted n Black Adder though and Coupling was just excellent

Books:

Currently reading :- Right Hand, Left Hand (Chris McManus) - really do need to sit down properly with this, not really a pickup and dip book. Shortly going to be hitting theory stuff for work and interests, ARRGGGHHH

Heroes:

Friends (you know who you are), too many others to list.
