After her first engagement singing 'Borderline' by Madonna in the back of her parents' car at age six, Theresa has not stopped singing, or being fabulous! ever since. She started writing poems and stories in junior high. Here's a scrap from a dramatic junior high poem The Crush:
" I stare at him, a look of longing in my eye
when he doesn't stare back, I think I could cry..."
Although she always wrote, and always sang, the idea of combining the two didn't occur to her until college. Theresa has a "piece of paper" from Berklee college of music in Boston. While there, she honed her theater skills performing in Berklee's musical theater revues, and worked on her songwriting chops in the Songwriter's Forum. She also recorded a 4 song demo CD, which you can listen to on this page. If you'd like to read and hear some of her more recent poetry,

Theresa worked at Harvard Square's legendary songwriter venue, Club Passim, for five years. She ran the sound board, ran The Passim School of Music and hosted the Open Mic. Being surrounded by such amazing music at Passim convinced Theresa to step out from behind the sound board and reclaim the stage. She is currently working on her first full length album and getting her non-myspace website, condito.com, together, while hitting up the open mic scene in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston.
Theresa believes strongly in creating musical/ songwriting community and likes to surround herself with creative, artsy, imaginative people. She is currently taking a class in The Artist's Way. She runs a monthly Songwriter's Circle, and is helping to plan a creative retreat for Songwriters and Poets called Writers in the Round that will meet for the third time this September on Star Island off the coast of New Hampshire.
