"The best part of life is not just surviving, but thriving, with passion and compassion, humor and style and generosity and kindness. -Maya Angelou

Greetings!
I Give thanks every day for the opportunity to be a positive light onto the world. I'm a dreamer, a dancer, a mover and a shaker. I make things happen and find new things to explore every day. I don't like to repeat many things more then once. I love to paint and build things...often using things that others throw away. I just want to live a peaceful life, having a few good friends and leave a trail of laughter and smiles in my wake....I love nature, travel, music, art, eccentric, kind, spiritual, and in general open minded non judgmental souls and all other living things as well!

Bottom line is....I strive to create love, joy and happiness in everything that I can, by participating in events that change lives. I want to be free. That said, I believe that none of us can truly be free until we are all free. I wish to feel through recognition, the oneness in all living things. I want to live my life the best way I know how. I just want to be me, me, who's ever changing, ever growing, and ever flowing. I wish to be surrounded by people that choose to embrace my metamorphic spirit as I will theirs yet, be consistent in the fact that we honor and love each other.

In one of my ever changing careers, was BLESSED to have a great job that rarely ever felt like work, as director of a large, state of the art contemporary art gallery. During those years I discovered that the gallery could be a natural vehicle to raise money and awareness for the things that actually made a difference in the lives of others. I concentrated my efforts to raise awareness and funding for the arts, environmental and humanitarian organizations. This chapter in my life came to a close in late 2006, prompting me to return to the Left Coast (I'm originally from L.A.)I still am into the arts, I paint and play with other mediums, but nothing to serious right now as I have been dedicating lots of time to representing a contemporary Kenyan Painter, by the name of Jacob Wachira Ezigbo and also working in some capacity to assist the work he does in Kenya with Children at the Watoto Wa Kwetu Trust, which he founded in 2004. But as far as I am concerned, art is life, or more like I try to live my life as art.

Some history....When I was a child I was bitten by the travel bug and still suffer the effects as I wish to see as much of this planet as possible while I'm here... Thus far I've traveled about in parts of North & West Africa, Europe, Latin America, Jamaica, Haiti and most recently Turkey.

Extras and essential basics: I desire to fill my days with the finer things in life, including the great outdoors, a beautiful environment, good friends and extended family -my tribe. Helping others, especially children, I enjoy sailing and kayaking (although it has been A WHILE), being pleasantly surprised, entertaining, warm nights outside, cold nights under lots of blankets, seriously great hugs..., working in my art studio, dreaming out load, reading, cycling, gardening, NPR, DANCING (especially to Reggae, African and some Dancehall), attending live music festivals, especially Jazz and Roots music.

I’ve been blessed with two beautiful and bright daughters who are now young women. Here's some VINTAGE photos of my little tribe...

..
And here are the beautiful women they have grown up to be...

Books:

A never ending pile of half read books by the bed.
And actually I have finally caught up and finished
a few recently (oh the joy of being unemployed!)
But hey here's a few: The Red Tent,
Tales from the Expat Harem (Foreign Women in
Modern Turkey, Intellectual Foreplay
The Four Agreements written by Don Miguel Ruiz
and they are as follows-Be impeccable with your word,
don’t take anything personally,
don’t make assumptions and always do your best,
and the most recent read...
ah heck...myspace -Oh that's not a book I almost forgot!

Heroes:

I could list all the obvious ones like The Dali Lama, Ghandi and Mandala to begin with....however, Albert Einstein once wrote: A human being is part of the whole, called by us "universe," limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a prison, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons close to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from our prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all humanity and the whole of nature in its beauty –Now this is my concept of a hero in a nutshell!
Here is todays HERO...
About this video:How do we use the Law Of Attraction to effect change on a Global scale? How do we keep our minds focused on the Possibilities, in spite of the problems? If we take the time to contemplate what change looks like, what freedom, equality, peace, justice, perfect health, food and shelter for all, looks like, we can begin now to write a new script, we can begin now, individually and collectively to ReDEFINE and in so doing, ReDESIGN the World we wish to live in. It is up to us to ReDEFINE our future now. ? It is up to us to ReDEFINE everything!!!!!!! "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" Mark 11:24
