From the age of seven,
TreVale has won the hearts of many with his extraordinary vocal ability. He captivates the audience with his velvety voice, multi-textured riffs and his soul stirring performance. Although
TreVale has been compared with some of the music industry's premiere artists, his voice is one of a kind and cannot be mistaken for anyone else.
TreVale is the first to confess that you may recognize a riff or run that he may have borrowed from one of his many musical influences. Combined with his own flavor he creates a stunning new signature sound all his own. He credits his parents (Patricia Mann & the late Rev. Columbus Mann Sr., who himself was a driving force in music as Motown Records first gospel recording artist) for the awesome talent he posses.
TreVale further acknowledges and appreciates God for the gift of music which he is unselfishly willing to share abroad.
TreVale has been afforded the opportunity to travel across the United States and Canada, where he has been embraced by many cities therein. Growing up as a preachers' kid
TreVale found a strong foundation in the church where his musical ability flourished. He has lent his vocals to renown gospel artists Deitrick Haddon, Beverly Crawford, Dorinda Clark-Cole & Karen Clark-Sheard.
"Working with Karen Clark-Sheard would have to be one of my greatest experiences considering the fact that she has been a major influence in my music. She is one of my favorite artist." In addition,
TreVale can be heard as a featured vocalist on a contemporary remake of "Everything You Need" which he recorded with the Detroit based Word of Praise Community Choir on their freshman album Like a Rock at the age of 15. True to his gospel roots, he was recently featured on the title track to Derrick Milans latest project, Daybreak which is set to be released in the spring of 2007.
While
TreVales' early exposure was to gospel music, he was also tuning into the radio listening to many other genres of music.
"I would have to name Faith Evans as my favorite artist overall. I not only admire her voice and her delivery, but I am also a fan of her writing and her vocal arrangements." TreVale also credits Marvin Winans and soul legends Aretha Franklin and James Brown as artist he not only was influenced by during his formative years but still listens to today.
While singing is
TreVale's first love, it is not the extent of his talent.
TreVale also has a love for theater and has played significant rolls in stage plays and musicals. He is also an accomplished writer and is now trying his hand in production as well.
"Ive been writing since I was 14 years old. It comes natural to me." In addition,
TreVale teaches vocal performance and donates his time working with gifted inner city youth.
TreVale is highly anticipating the fruition of his endeavors, however; his ultimate goal is to make a positive impact on peoples lives not only through his music but also through his testimony.
"At the end of the day I want to be an inspiration to someone the way that so many artist have inspired me."
