- This one is called "Stars and Stripes for Never". It is a woodblock print where all the white lines are cut from wood. The pic is blurry, I will redo it later. It looks REALLY GOOD in real life!!
This is a woodcut 55 color reduction print self portrait I did for class. It too is blurry, and I will have to reshoot it.

How to do Monotype printmaking.
You paint a piece of plexiglass completely with black Intaglio ink. You lay a piece of paper on it and trace with ball point pen to transfer the ink to the paper. You then remove ink from the plexi plate and stylixe it then put on more paper and put it through the printing press to transfer the blacks. Looks like the image on the left.
Use the leftover black areas and start painting with Intaglio ink on the plexiglass
Here is the Plexiglass almost finished.
You can kinda see the finished print on the top pic. Here is my classmate Jenna. She has rolled the ink of liquid viscosity on the plate, then the normal, then thick ink. The inks repel eachother, and any shapes you put in in will fill with the next viscosity of ink. They blend together nicely. Jenna chose to put leaves in hers to make a pattern/texture in the ink.
