Charlie Chaplin said "I consider myself a citizen of the world." The 'world' seems to be a endangered word; with power, both polical and geographical, more complicated than ever the question arises in my mind of what are we doing to make a difference? We are all accountable for the things we do and just as much for the things we do not do, the issues of the world will not dissolve by themselves - we must take great action to make great changes. Right now do a Google search (or whatever) for something you believe in and find out how to change it for the better.A lot of people would say that actors and entertainers are completely selfish and only interrested in our own celebration. However I'd like to state that while there are "stars" there are also artist, and there is a difference. "Stars" seek the spotlight, artists do what they do because it's their passion and to effect others and hopefully make some sort of change in the world, be it dramatically or comedically (yes, people need laughter just as much as drama and meaningful heart-tugging films).
