Like most singers, Leroy Hutchins, III a.k.a. Tre~ began singing in the church youth choir. Tre~ led his first song with that choir entitled, The Holy Ghost and on that Sunday, he had his first encounter with the Holy Ghost. He then knew he was meant to sing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With that same church choir, Tre~ was given the opportunity to record an album and lead the title cut, I Love Jesus. Tre~ attended the Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts at Pebblebrook High School where he was exposed to many genres of music and trainings. He was a part of the Vocal Conservatory where he sang second alto for several months while battling his pubescent voice change. He also was picked to be a part of the show choir known as Company. This group was comprised of the county’s best young performers. Through this opportunity, Tre~ would perform for the Governor of Georgia, attend All State Chorus yearly, and compete in Literary Meets and numerous concerts throughout his high school years. Tre~ also began modeling and singing jingles for Cumberland Mall by being one the malls first Cumberland Kids. His efforts led him sing at Carnegie Hall in New York, Woodruff Art Center with the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra and perform in such musicals as The Wiz, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Grease. Tre~ also participated in other areas of the performing arts where he studied many genres of dance to include ballet, tap, modern and jazz. In 1994, Tre~ starred as the young Martin Luther King Jr. in the musical version of television documentary, Little Boy King. The musical opened at the Atlanta Civic Center and ran for three weeks. Shortly there after, he began preparing to perform as a featured James Brown dancer in the 1994 Super Bowl Half Time Show; host city Atlanta, Georgia. Tre~ later participated in the 1996 Para Olympic Games Opening Ceremonies with Kirk Franklin and Aretha Franklin. After graduation, Tre~ attended University of West Georgia where he became active in the University Chorus and the United Voices Gospel Choir. As an active member, he was a featured soloist and director. During the first semester of college, Tre~ met up with other talented singing brothers along with a couple of old high school singing partners, an R&B group was formed. For a number of years they entered numerous talent shows, performed on numerous new artist showcases and spent countless hours in the studio. The group later dismembered and Tre~ found his way back to the church; the Church of God In Christ. Tre~ was given the opportunity to adlib on Ode to Joy recorded by Murphy J Pace, III and The Power House of Deliverance Church of God In Christ, Voices of Power CD entitled, I Am the Way. Tre~ also became active in the music department at the Citadel of Hope Evangelistic Church of God in Christ, Superintendent Nathan L. Simmons, Pastor. He later became active in the Central Georgia Jurisdictional Music Department, under the direction of Evangelist T. Lynn Smith and former Presiding Bishop C. D. Owens. He also served on the state Praise and Worship Team. Through this affiliation, Tre~ became an active member of the International Music Department of The Church of God in Christ under the direction of Evangelist Lavonia Whitley and Professor Iris Stephenson. Tre~ has shared the stage with such gospel greats as Twinkie Clark, Karen Clark Sheard, Dorinda Clark Cole, Kierra KiKi Sheard, Bishop Richard Mr. Clean White, Judith Christie McAlister, Hezekiah Walker, Kim Burrell, Elder Carlis Moody, Micah Stampley, Yolanda Adams, Tamyra Gray, Tramaine Hawkins, George Huff, Melvin Williams, Regina Belle, Howard Hewett and Norman Hutchins to name a few. Tre~ also participated in TV Ones Gospel Challenge with the New Hope COGIC Church choir. Tre~ is a member of Gospel recording artist/ group, B. Chase Williams and ShaBach. He is featured on their third and fourth project, entitled Released, where he leads, Grace and Mercy. Through ShaBachs’ ministry, Tre~ has had the opportunity to travel the country singing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through ShaBach, Tre~ is a member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America; Metro Atlanta chapter. ShaBach has been featured on Bobbie Jones Gospel, Atlanta Gospel Choice Awards (two time recipients), Celebration of Gospel, Gospel Superfest and countless concerts and tours. Tre~, was a finalist in the 2005 Gospel Dreams Competition. Tre~ also participated in the choir scenes of the movie entitled, The Gospel starring Boris Kodgoe, Tamyra Gray, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams and Fred Hammond. In January 2005, Tre~ began to further his ministry endeavors at El Elyon International under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Dr. Mason Betha in Atlanta, Georgia (sanechurch.org). Tre~ can be found weekly leading worship at El Elyon International. Tre~ is committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every nation through his ministry gift of song. Tre~ is currently planning to record a Praise & Worship CD in 2008!
