Simply ANOINTED

A native of Washington, DC, Yvette Thomas is the personification of the city's urban flare. She hails from the DC Public School System where she attended and graduated from the Blue Ribbon award-winning Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Following her four years of study and training in classical voice and musical theatre at Ellington, Yvette went on to further her classical studies at the University of Maryland in College Park. While attending the University of Maryland, she was privileged to sing and record with the University of Maryland Gospel Choir.
Although Yvette has been trained and mentored by some of the best vocal teachers, ultimately, she attributes her gifted voice to the Glory of God. She is a firm believer in the Word of God and can testify of His goodness. She knows in her heart that talent is just that-- talent; however, its the anointing that destoys the yoke!
Yvette known as the Psalmist at Heart To Heart Christian Center. Involved in many ministries at her church, she is the director of the praise team, a Sunday school teacher and the youth program coordinator. She is a faithful member, who serves according to her calling under the tutelage and covering of Apostle Donald R. Downing and Pastor Lezlie C. Downing.
Renowned locally as an anointed and gifted vocalist, Yvette has been blessed with opportunities to sing at the White House, The Kennedy Center, Constitution Hall and an extensive list of churches throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area. She has shared the stage with celebrated gospel recording artists such as Richard Smallwood, Daryl Coley, Maurette Brown-Clark, Isaiah D. Thomas, John Tillery, Patrick Lundy and Earnest Pugh.
Devoted to helping and being a blessing to others with her God given gift of ministry in song, Yvette believes whole-heartedly that God has anointed her for such a time as this. She is currently working to record her first debut CD -- a dream which upon fulfillment will be nothing short of the manifestation of the power of God working in her life. The music ministry that God has birthed in Yvette Thomas is unique, refreshing and simply anointed.
