Broken By Fire

Overcoming tragedy, Broken By Fire has been melting the music scene in Alaska for the past few years. Starting as a band called "Switch 3", they invoked interest with every note and ignited a new sound which became the catalyst of great things to come. Their success was met with hardship as two very close friends were lost to a house fire. The loss was devestating, but they saw the flames as the light out of the darkness. In remembrance, their name was changed to "Broken By Fire". With a new name and new inspiration, their sound was intensified and progressed exponentially, but was silenced by the loss of drummer and dear friend, Joe Steele. The entire city mourned with them and as they dug deep to find the strength to carry on their growing legacy. With a new drummer, they continued to define perseverance and dedication. They won their home town over once more, and soon won over founder and creator of the Warped Tour. What once was a three-piece local band has evolved into a tightly knit, four-piece group who was hand selected to become a national act this past summer. After finishing up Warped Tour 2007, Broken By Fire has relocated to Tucson, Arizona to show the rest of the United States what scorching melodies infused with searing rhythms sound like.
