I am a young padawan of animation and digital art, seeking to network and collaborate with other masters of the craft. I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, a proud Grady baby, currently residing in St. Petersburg, FL. As early as age 3, I displayed a natural ability to draw. I chose to develop my talent into the broad set of skills that it is today. My skills include drawing, animation, 3d modeling, photo editing, and video compositing. I also love to play the drums. I was trained in traditional art at GA State University. I moved on to discover animation at the Atlanta College of Art, where I earned my BFA in computer animation in 2003. While in attendance, I was trained by the late great animator Lou Hertz, who gave me the basic foundation of cartooning. However, the Atlanta College of Art is no more. The 100 year old historic school has been acquired by the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Though my talents have not yet been discovered, I continue to strive for excellence, while giving new meaning to the term starving artist. When Im not working and keeping the bill collectors at bay, I do as much as I can to get my portfolio on a competitive level. Long term goals include being an artist at a gaming or film studio like Pixar, Dreamworks, ILM, WETA, Nickelodeon, Retro, Rockstar, EA; wherever the fun may be. I am also interested in starting my own studio which would specialize in cartoons, commercial animation, 3d modeling, in-game cinematics, 3d for music videos, and small films for festivals.
I am currently accepting freelance projects. My software knowledge includes Maya, Flash, Dreamweaver, PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premeire, After Effects, learning Zbrush and Motionbuilder. I teamed up with a talented group of artists to work on a cartoon series. Stay tuned for updates on that. (Man that was a lot of writing) .
