People keep telling me that 30 is the new 20, but I really hope not. The 30s are more fun so far--I'm a little smarter now and I've finally grown into my big boy pants (I was a late bloomer). But my interests include movies, reading, running, hockey, football, ultimate bar darts, going out with friends for a pint, cooking/entertaining (I make the best BBQ pork butt this side of the Mason Dixon line), teasing the elderly, hunting rednecks, and making other people look better through comparison. Oh yeah, and puddin'.... awww yeah... width="425" height="350" ..'cause I cook, and then I chill. Awww yeah.

Barry and Lavon. Abe Lincoln (he cheats). Jay and Silent Bob. Batman. Perhaps you... but probably not. Since I'm with the girl of my dreams already, I'm pretty much off the market. So there.
Music:
What don't I listen to? Really, I just appreciate good music, so it's easier to say that I do not like the little pop crap, the hipster bullshit, the whiny country or the lame rap/R&B that MTV dumps on us like wheelbarrow loads of crap. I loathe MTV. Everything else is fair game. If you're looking for bands and artists I like, just check out my friends list... but I'm enjoying a lot of Snow Patrol, Evanescence, Sarah McLachlan, Green Day, Weird Al, U2 and a slew of others lately.
Movies:
As long as they're well written and acted, I'll watch them (see: pretty much anything Tom Hanks has done). I also love cheesy horror films, Kevin Smith films (they're well written, but Jason Mewes can't act to save his life), the 80s classics (Say Anything... c'mon, ya gotta love Cusack in that) and superhero/sci fi type of things (I never grew up). Right now, I love Batman Begins, Sin City, Team America, Serenity (Firefly), Tarantino flicks, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (the originals and Ep. 3--not the kid-friendly ones), Shaun of the Dead (love those zombies!), Seven, Memento... oh man, there are way too many that I love. I try not to watch too much television, but I still love the Simpsons, CSI, Family Guy, and my new favorite show--How I Met Your Mother. Heroes and BSG also rock. Yes, I'm a dork. I don't care. So there.
Books:
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fight Club, Hey Whipple, Squeeze this!, Identity Crisis, High Fidelity...a plethora of others. I love Sedaris, HST and a slew of other authors (I'm a writer, it's what I do). Right now, I'm reading Marley & Me, Blink and Tipping Point (and yes, I read multiple books at one time--I'm weird like that).
