About Me

N MY MISSION N
Annabots mission is to provide ethical, cruelty-free garments to an audience worldwide. All of my garments are brought to you in a non-corporate, sweatshop free environment. I take great pride in providing safe quality made clothing. I also strongly believe in recycling clothing from second-hand sources and finding union-made materials. As you know, the majority of modern clothing is manufactured in unsafe and cruel conditions with workers being paid mere pennies. While I cannot guarantee that all clothing from the thrift store has not been made under such conditions, monies spent at such stores are not sent to the corporations that prosper from such horrific enterprises. In recycling and reusing second-hand materials, we attempt to not be wasteful of workers hard labor and the Earth’s limited resources. On this note, no animal products are used in the manufacturing of my garments except those that are recycled. While Ebay opens the sale of goods into a competitive market and perpetuates such corporate enterprises – this is still the easiest and most accessible manner in which to bring you ethically manufactured clothing. Do not give your hard-earned money to the sweatshops and destructive corporations. Support fair labor and the living wage.Alas, that was my politics of fashion, but, as Billy Bragg says, “The Revolution is just a ‘Stop the War’ T-shirt away”.NABOUT ANNA(Other than the politics)I have 15 years of sewing experience under my belt. I use a Babylock Imagine Serger and a Kenmore Sewing Machine. All of my garments are serged, double stitched, and topstitched where necessary. I have my BFA in fashion design. I'm a design assistant for a knitwear company. I make all of my own patterns and do just about everything myself (the boyfriend is my photographer and loyal Post Office driver-too-er). In addition to sewing, I also have a passion for knitting, textile arts, fine arts, and cooking. I work 75+ hours a week... a juggling between sewing for ebay and makin' sweaters.Likes: Sewing (duh), knitting, thrift stores, tattoos, Belgian beer, my doggie Mr. Malikai Lowenstein Rufus H. McDogglesby ESQ., Twin Peaks, makin’ stuff, tea, Scott Nilles, hand-rolled cigarettes, court TV, dinosaurs, robots, sudoku, crossword puzzles, scrabble, and fur pantz.Dislikes: Ebay, soccer moms, pocket dogs, meat, capitalism, miller light, gaucho pants, fake tans, fake nails, velour jumpsuits, uggs, most tattoos, the KKK, the bourgie, and gangs.
