Lokura is an orignal sounding heavy metal band from Indianapolis. You will find that we include a wide range of styles in our music, but with a decidedly metal approach. The band's sound borrows from both the old and new schools of metal, often mixing modern style metal riffs with elements of southern groove and stoner rock, then arranging the songs with a scope and epic style sometimes missing with the bands of today. The focus of the Lokura sound is the double guitar attack of Kyle Shumaker and Jordan Hill mixed with powerful underlines from Matt Mitchell on bass. Blending Jordan's technical guitar riffs and powerful leads with Kyle's songwriting and guitar solo prowess has produced a powerful combination. Taking the helm, frontman Kevin Moore provides a wide array of vocals, ranging from powerful singing to gutteral screams. Finally, Andrew Smith (a.k.a. Flippy) provides the backbone with his creative groove oriented drumming style.
